What if you met Jesus

There is a story called Ragman by Walter Wangerin, Jr.; it’s a beautiful story for sure, but also a very sad story and an inspirational story too.  Here is a link to that story:  http://www.lfscc.com/OEW/OEW/ragman.html.  I strongly encourage you to read it, it could change your life.

There is a song written by Tom Kimmel and Tom Prasada-Rao called “See myself in You”.  It is a beautiful song that makes you think about a chance meeting with Jesus (in my opinion).  Here is a link to the song as sung by Tom Kimmel:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NGWKTK6S6c&feature=related.  And here is a link to the same song by the other author Tom Prasada-Rao:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZLA3k8WwBY.

These two pieces of art made me wonder what I would do or say if I were to meet Jesus here on earth.  It also made me wonder if I had already met Him and didn’t realize it.

I think we often have the opportunity to meet Christ everyday, if we will only pay attention.  It may be in the face of a child, or an old man sitting on a bench.  Maybe at a hospital or at the grocery store or who knows where else we could meet Him.  Jesus is in all of us, but only some of us show Him to others.  As Matthew 5:16 says “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

If we are willing to share ourselves with others, we will share the love of Christ as well.  As Christian’s, one of our biggest shortcomings is the ability to share our faith with others.  Jesus is Universal, share Him with everyone you meet.

You’ll be glad you shared.

God Bless you all.
