Legacy

I have been thinking about legacy, both how people will remember me, but more importantly, how I affected others.  Have I, through this blog, through how I lived my life and through how I told others what is important to me and everyone in life.

Through this blog, I have tried to explain how the love of God has affected me.  I have tried to give others my opinion of what the Bible teaches us regarding how to live our lives.  I have tried not to “preach” or give an appearance of being better than anyone else.  Truth be told, I am probably the least qualified person I know to write a blog about faith; except for the fact that this is my faith.

And that’s what I want my children, grandchildren, brothers and friends to know; how I am a sinner, always have been, always will be.  But I also want them to know that through the life, death and resurrection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I am also forgiven.  Christ’s gift to us –  His mercy and His grace are what saves us.

There is nothing we can do to earn our way into heaven.  We can’t buy it, can’t do anything to get there…EXCEPT believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior.  Live your life as best you can, love your fellow-man and believe.  That’s what John 3:16 is all about.

I like to think that I have done some good in my life, but I will leave that for others to decide.  If there was only one thing left for me in this world that I could accomplish, it would be to convince all my family and friends that Jesus is real, and that He is the only way to the Father’s house.  I want them to have the feeling of Jesus’ love, and I want them to be in Heaven with me and all who believe when this life comes to an end.

Mumbles says,

Believe, have faith and be saved!

God Bless!
