Holy Week – Easter Vigil

The Easter Vigil is an anticipation of Christ’s resurrection.

A new Paschal candle is lit for the first time and throughout the years at all baptisms and funerals – our great sign of the Resurrection.

At our Easter Vigil our Pastor does a reading of four great salvation stories from the Old Testament; Creation, the Flood, the Sacrifice of Isaac and the Exodus.

The worship closes with the renewal of our baptismal promises. During the reciting of the Apostles Creed, Pastor sprinkles the congregation with water from the baptismal font.

We are now prepared for tomorrow, Easter Sunday. The Great Celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mumbles says,

I can’t wait for tomorrow!
